DevLog #4 - Once upon a time

Welcome back - Happy New Year 2022 and let’s get rolling!

It has been a hot minute since we last posted DevLog news - but, now we are back!

What happened until now?

We actually switched priorities to a smaller project first that we “wanted to complete in an weekend or so”. Well, it took about 4 months and it’s just semi-ready. It’s up on Google Play however, and working. So that’s a plus in my book.

That reminds me that I should actually update our page over at https://pixeldiorama.itch.io/connect-4

So, how’s the farm game coming along?

Dundel actually changed the entire resolution, so instead of playing it in the resolution of an old Nokia 8510, we now can actually play it in an resolution that wouldn’t embarrass your smarthome-connected digital toaster.

We added heaps of features we wanted to implement, and, most importantly, we managed to write some kind of game design document to put down the thoughts. The idea behind this is, that we do not get into all that scope-creep biz.

We also started to stream the progress, mostly as a mute show-off, but we are always available for more questions regarding the project and Godot in general. :-)

Future

We want to get this project out soon now. Preferably after that creating smaller projects or tutorials, so we have a higher turn-around. Also it’s easier to focus on working on something v.s. working loosely on 5 things all at the same time. But expect some more updates soon. :-)

Until next time, Chris
